What is Cloud Computing? It is a way of accessing information technology services and tools over the Internet. Simply put, here we have the opportunity to connect to a server computing machine that has almost every application installed in the world via the Internet and select the application we want to do the work we want. All you need is a computer with a web browser and an internet connection.
Why this service called “Cloud Computing”?
The concept of cloud computing was first introduced in 1960 by John McCarthy. But the word became popular in the 1990s. With the advent of ATMs. Then in 2007 Google and IBM launched a large-scale CC project.
All the required software is store on a server computing machine connected to the Internet, so there is no need to install the required software on our computer. We can also perform the required work from our computer and store the data and information in the server computer machine itself. Then the data can access from anywhere in the world via a computer device with an Internet connection. All you have to do to activate this facility is to pay a small fee from a third-party service provider. It provides a service that utilizes all the resources on the network and only pays for the services we use.
There are two main types of concepts use in cloud computing. These are called cloud computing models.
- Deployment Models
- Service Models
These are just some of the goal-setting shareware that you can use to create cloud computing. That is, how the cloud is positioned. Thus there are 4 ways to install the cloud.
Public Cloud Computing – This is the ability to connect to different systems and services from common public methods and locations. This can use by anyone in general However, the security here is very low.
Eg:- Google, Microsoft, Amazon
Private Cloud Computing – This method allows only an organization or company to connect with the cloud. This is good on the security side because it is private.
Eg:- IBM, Oracle
Community Cloud Computing – Community cloud technology enables cloud use by different groups within an organization or company.
Hybrid cloud computing- Hybrid cloud is a combination of both the above private and public types. Thus risky critical work is personal or
Private cloud and non-critical non-critical activities are done through public clouds.
The other method is the service models. This method can categorized into three parts according to the services provided.
IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service)
Infrastructure as a Service This service provides physical machines, virtual machines, virtual database facilities, etc. That is, without directly acquiring computer parts for further business
Purchasing those services that can be used online.
For example, using Google drive to store your data and information.
PaaS (Platform as a Service)
This gives them the ability to use various operating system software, development tools, etc. online for their business or needs.
SaaS (Software as a Service)
This is the service that uses different types of software to get the job done.
Advantages of cloud computing:
- Ability to connect to their cloud account from anywhere in the world.
- Lack of maintains.
- Low software cost.
- Large space for data storage.
- No need to spend time updating the software as it updates the software instantly.
- can use on any operating system.
- High accuracy and efficiency.
Disadvantages of cloud computing:
- Need a very fast, efficient internet service.
